For the high-precision acoustic measurement of the smallest components, such as microphones for consumer electronics, our electric actuators – in combination with our servo motors and servo drives – are responsible for opening and closing the test chamber.
At the heart of the application are two synchronised electric actuators that open and close a solidly constructed, sound-insulated measurement chamber. Despite moving masses of over 100 kg each, the actuators used ensure low-vibration and smooth motion. The electric actuators are based on a heavy-duty, specially developed ballscrew drive and enable smooth force transmission without stick-slip effects. Combined with high mechanical rigidity, this results in exceptionally smooth motion behaviour – both during movement and when stationary. A fully coordinated drive package comprising electric actuators, servo motors and servo drives also enables easy integration into existing control architectures. Via standardised interfaces such as Profinet, the system can be seamlessly integrated into industrial environments, ensuring short commissioning times and high process stability.
